Inspirational talks at municipal political debates in Aalborg and Svendborg

IDA and Poul Schmith / Office of the Attorney General wanted to focus on the need for renewable energy as a central driver for the green transition – and on how municipalities can strengthen their commitment and power to act. There was a need for a strong, professional and current presentation that could serve as a starting point for a nuanced municipal policy debate.

Peter Andreas Norn gave a presentation that created a strong common foundation for the subsequent debate – both among the audience and between the municipal policy debaters.

The presentations provided insight into:

  • The need for renewable energy as a driving force in the green transition
  • Why electrification in Denmark has stalled
  • How municipalities can overcome barriers through land use strategies, citizen involvement and strategic energy planning
