The tripartite agreement does not get us very far in the area of nature and biodiversity. Partnerships are needed if we are to succeed in creating large, coherent natural areas – and we must.

The five tips are:
- Create a long-term and robust shared vision – and make the goals clear from the beginning.
- Distribute roles clearly – who is responsible for ownership, operation and communication?
- Involve local communities and stakeholders early and continuously – support must be built up over time.
- Think in long-term economics – nature can also create returns, directly and indirectly.
- Build a knowledge-based monitoring model – document the development and use of nature.
It may sound simple, but in practice it is not. And they are often not followed.
